Christmas Cheer and Carols Reimagined

‘Twas the night before Christmas: the TV went on with its cheerful loop of festive movies; somewhere outside, the neighbors partied; while this blogger lay on a sofa in her Christmas pj’s, cozy, thinking about tomorrow, and wondering why the only thing missing from this picture was an ugly Christmas sweater.

Maybe next year, she sighed.

Tomorrow is a big day, so I thought we should celebrate the only way I know how — I made a playlist. It’s not much, but it’s the least I could do to help you get into the spirit of the season. (That’s if you’re not already fizzing with joy, gratitude, and that hard-to-describe Christmas spirit.)

You’ll find Mbuvi’s representation of a Kenyan Christmas accurate, Korede Bello jumps in with a Naija rendition of ‘Jingle Bells’, Ugandan children’s choir Proclaim will melt your heart with their enthusiastic performance of ‘Mary Did You Know’, plus a little extra. So go on, press play.

Merry Christmas!
